Killian Hayes’ Journey with the Detroit Pistons
Killian Hayes began his NBA career with the Detroit Pistons. The team drafted him with the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Unfortunately, Hayes struggled to meet expectations during his four years with the Pistons while averaging just 8.1 points per game.
In his last season with Detroit, Hayes played 42 games for a team that ended the season with the worst record in the league at 14-68.
His performance last season saw him average 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 24 minutes per game. After the lackluster season, the Pistons wasted no time and waived him in February of this year. It marked the end of his stint in Michigan.
