Does Ben Simmons know he might be on the move soon?
As the Philadelphia 76ers continue to evaluate potential trade packages to acquire Houston’s James Harden, the question remains whether or not the team would consider moving two-time All-Star Ben Simmons in exchange for Harden.
After previously reporting that Philadelphia was open to dealing Simmons, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey shot down that theory.
“We are not trading Ben Simmons,” Morey said, per Charania. “He is an important part of our future.”

Morey’s words don’t really mean that much as he stated he wouldn’t trade Chris Paul just days before he actually did. He also stated he was leaving the Rockets organization to spend time with family, then took a job with the 76ers days later.
