The Philadelphia 76ers failed to make it out of the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the second consecutive season and this year just may have ended worse than the previous one.
Sixers fans were experiencing deja vu as a left-handed star on the team disappeared in the second half. Last season, it was Ben Simmons. He would never play for the team again. This year, it was James Harden. It is possible he may not play for the team either depending on what happens this offseason.
One person who enjoyed the team being eliminated was Ben Simmons, who took to social media and trashed James Harden and the 76ers by liking several tweets.
The Miami Heat came on the road and sealed the series. Jimmy Butler went off for a game-high 32 points, as he led the Heat to their 2nd Conference Finals in 3 years.
Joel Embiid scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Harden scored 11 points on 4 of 9 shooting. He attempted just one shot in the 4th quarter, missing the same.

The future remains uncertain for James and the Sixers. We’ll have to see whether Daryl Morey still counts on Harden, or does he do what’s best for Joel Embiid.
