Ben Simmons might be the sickest man on Earth.
The star point guard went from playing alongside Joel Embiid, not wanting to play there, and being traded to a Brooklyn Nets team that has Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Now, it appears he won’t be playing alongside them for even one game with swirling trade rumors surrounding both.
With uncertainty swirling around the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons is going off the grid after social media users noticed he deactivated his Instagram account:
The move comes after teammate Kevin Durant requested a trade, while Kyrie Irving is also the subject of trade rumors in a possible move to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Simmons joined Brooklyn in a February trade from the Philadelphia 76ers, but he never played a game while recovering from a back injury. The 25-year-old hasn’t played in a game since the 76ers’ Eastern Conference semifinal Game 7 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks when he infamously passed up an open dunk and was openly criticized by Joel Embiid.

“I think it’s gonna be scary having those guys run alongside me,” he told reporters in February. “There’s multiple different weapons on the floor, and I think at the pace we want to play at it’s gonna be unreal.”
It’s going to be scary indeed when he likely won’t be playing with those guys.
