LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers star player, is currently representing his country in the international competition. Despite being eliminated in the first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets in the 2023-24 NBA season, the 39-year-old star didn’t take a rest in the offseason and decided to play for Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Due to his fantastic career stats and achievements, King James, who was recently praised by Paul Pierce, is often considered the greatest player of all time. James’s teammate also thinks the same about him. During a Courtside takeover press conference, Lakers shooting guard Austin Reaves crowned LeBron James as the ‘Greatest Player Ever’ while explaining his relationship with James to Nicole Ganglani.
“Someone that I looked up to and for LeBron, I mean, in my opinion, he’s the greatest player ever. And for him to treat me the way that he treats me since day one has been very special for me. It’s been nothing but love. I’ve been able to pick his brain on the stuff that he does to be prepared and take care of his body.” Reaves said
It’s incredible how Reaves went from being an undrafted player to a vital member of the team. Reaves mentioned that the special treatment he received from James since day one meant a lot to him.
Reaves Expresses Gratitude for Having James as a Teammate
King James has just finished his 21st NBA season. Despite being 39 years old, he is showing no signs of slowing down. He is currently impressing his fans with dominant performances in the 2024 Olympics, leading Team USA to three consecutive wins. Reaves also spoke about how fortunate he is to have James as a teammate.
“He’s 39 and going to year 22, but still doesn’t look like he’s slowing down any time soon. So, you know, it’s very special for me to have him as a teammate, and obviously, he as well. Just, you know, I cherish all of that stuff.”
Reaves and James have been essential players for the Lakers. It will be fascinating to see LeBron James’ performance next season, especially since the team recently drafted his son, Bronny James.
