Despite numerous videos on social media being advertised as NBA fights, players actually throwing hands is very rare to see during a game. It’s mostly a bunch of pushing and shoving combined with a bunch of hold-me-back guys waiting for people to step in and do just that as they pretend their emotions are too out of control to be stopped.
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler is known for his strong personality and vert straight-shooting manner of dealing with any and all issues.
During a game against the Timberwolves, he showed off his brash personality when he confronted Anthony Edwards on the court.
Anthony Edwards was hardly moved by it.
“He ain’t (gonna) fight nobody out there,” Edwards said, via The Athletic. “All that walking upon each other, that’s stuff for the birds, man. I ain’t about to fight. I don’t get into all that. That s*** be fake.”
The players exchanged words in the third quarter after Edwards gave Butler a slight shove in the back.
