The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking at their best in the playoff series this year with their dominance in all six games. After taking a 2-0 lead against the reigning champions Denver Nuggets, Wolves’ confident All-Star guard Anthony Edwards had no hesitation in taking desperate measures to guarantee the first championship trophy for the franchise.
During an interview, when the 22-year-old was asked whether he would ink teammate Rudy Gobert’s face on his body to ensure the glittery championship title, Edwards said, “Yeah.” On asking where he would get it done, the “Ant-Man” quickly stated, “Probably [on] my arm or some sh*t.”
After being informed that he couldn’t get rid of the tattoo later, Edwards replied, “That’s cool. To win a championship? Yeah.” Gobert has been taking care of the Timberwolves’ defense the entire season and earned his fourth DPOY title on Tuesday for his outstanding contribution.
Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards is leading with the team’s offense on his shoulder and has been a delight to watch in the post-season. His style of play and zeal have often been compared with NBA legend Michael Jordan, and Minnesota head coach Chris Finch laid his opinion on it.
Chris Finch Weighs In on Anthony Edwards and Michael Jordan Comparison
Anthony Edwards has shone brightly in the Timberwolves’ colors, showing glimpses of prime Jordan. During an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show”, when Finch was asked about the comparison, the HC said “Stylistically, [the Michael Jordan comparisons] might be [fair]. I think there’s a long way to go, of course, in terms of championship level, sustainability, and all that. The confidence is there, the swagger is there…I can tell you that it’s 100 percent real.”

While many have imitated MJ’s moves, not everyone has impressed the Bulls legend. However, His Airness reportedly confirmed Edwards’s similarities to his younger self.
The Wolves guard is averaging 32.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists in the playoffs and will be facing the Nuggets in the third game of the semifinal series on Friday. While he will be entertaining the Target Center crowd with his on-court actions, he may show off his new tattoo if he decides to go for it.
