It’s quite common to see celebrity NBA fans sitting courtside to support their favorite NBA teams. While some of these celebrities only show up in specific games such as a marquee matchup during the season or a playoff game, due to their busy schedules, it’s quite admirable that they can still find the time to support their hometown team. 2 Chainz is probably the Hawks’ biggest celebrity fan. He often spits out lyrics and makes some references to his hometown of Atlanta in his songs. The good news is that the Hawks also love the hometown rapper. The team has held a few “2 Chainz Nights” in which the rapper sings a few of his hits throughout the game.
Boston Celtics – Mark Wahlberg
While Wahlberg often supports any professional team from Boston, he’s definitely given much weight to his admiration for the Celtics these days. The Hollywood A-lister can be often seen wearing Celtics’ team hats and shirts whenever he attends their games.

Just quickly Google for Jay-Z wearing a Nets jersey and you’d be surprised by the results.
Charlotte Hornets – J Cole
J Cole’s admiration for the team didn’t just stop with him being a fan as he agreed to buy a minority stake for the team in 2023. Growing up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the well-known rapper’s support for the franchise is based on his loyalty to his hometown. With countless NBA guys listening to his music, maybe he could help the Hornets recruit some star players in the future.
Chicago Bulls – Barack Obama
