The 2024-2025 NBA season is fast approaching, and most of the rosters for each team are set. Quite a number of players are returning from injuries while others are plying their trades to a new team.
Before the start of the new season, let’s take a look at every NBA team’s Active Mount Rushmore. Which four players made it for your favorite team?
Which active NBA players are going to be included in your team on this list?
Atlanta Hawks – Trae Young
Young is a dynamic scoring point guard who is also known for his elite playmaking. But can he steer the Hawks to playoff success in the near future?
Atlanta Hawks – Jalen Johnson
Johnson is one of the best up-and-coming three-and-d players in the league today. He’s bound for another leap in the 2024-2025 season.
Atlanta Hawks – Clint Capela

A strong rebounder and defensive presence, Capela has been a steady big man for the Hawks since his arrival in 2020.
Atlanta Hawks – Bogdan Bogdanović
A reliable shooter and secondary playmaker, this Serbian basketball veteran can quickly get hot from anywhere on the floor on any given night.
Boston Celtics – Jayson Tatum
Tatum is one of the league’s premier scorers and best young talents. He will assuredly go down as one of the best players to ever don the Celtics jersey.
Boston Celtics – Jaylen Brown
After being knocked by people for having an inferior left hand when it comes to basketball, Brown silenced all the critics when he won the Finals MVP at the conclusion of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
Boston Celtics – Jrue Holiday
Holiday’s savvy playmaking and high basketball IQ helped this NBA team become champions in 2024.
Boston Celtics – Derrick White
White is a defensive guard who also contributes to scoring and playmaking for the Celtics.
Brooklyn Nets – Cameron Johnson
Johnson is a very good three-point shooter and a solid defender for the Nets. After Mikal Bridges’s trade departure, he’s now tasked with being the team’s number-one offensive option.
Brooklyn Nets – Cam Thomas
If Thomas can sustain his scoring ways for an entire season, the Nets should be a decent team in the East.
Brooklyn Nets – Nic Claxton
Claxton is a nightly lob threat for the Nets. He’s a pest defensively against other NBA teams.
Brooklyn Nets – Ben Simmons
Hate him or love him, Simmons can still play. Plus, there’s not much talent for this team to occupy his spot on this list for now.
Charlotte Hornets – LaMelo Ball
Can LaMelo stay healthy for an entire season? If he can, then there’s no doubt that the Hornets can reach the playoffs next year.

Charlotte Hornets – Brandon Miller
After a very promising rookie season, it’s a safe bet that Miller will continue his ascend as a player during his sophomore year in the NBA.
Charlotte Hornets – Miles Bridges
Despite sitting out an entire year, Bridges showed no rust during his return to the team for the 2023-2024 NBA season. He is expected to become a much more potent offensive player for the Hornets this year.
Charlotte Hornets – Mark Williams
Williams is a defensive-minded center who excels in rebounding and shot-blocking.
Chicago Bulls – Zach LaVine
It remains to be seen how LaVine will perform next season after an injury-riddled season. After DeRozan’s departure, the Bulls will inevitably rely on LaVine’s scoring capabilities on a nightly basis.
Chicago Bulls – Coby White
With Lonzo Ball’s injury, White has shown that he is capable of handling the offense for this once-proud NBA team. Can he sustain his progress?
Chicago Bulls – Josh Giddey
While Giddey was the odd man out for OKC, he has a chance to redeem himself for the Bulls next season. He’s expected to start at the point for them this year.
Chicago Bulls – Patrick Williams
While Williams’ development on the floor took longer than expected, he has shown flashes of brilliance for the Bulls last season.
Cleveland Cavaliers – Donovan Mitchell
After much drama in the offseason, Mitchell will continue to sport the Cavs jersey next season and beyond. Will he be able to lead them to a deep playoff run next season?
Cleveland Cavaliers – Darius Garland
For the last couple of seasons, Garland has been one of the best young floor generals in the NBA.
Cleveland Cavaliers – Evan Mobley
Mobley is an emerging two-way star known for his defense and offensive potential on the court. But can he add a reliable jump shot to his offensive arsenal?
Cleveland Cavaliers – Jarrett Allen
Despite being limited offensively, Allen finishes well around the rim and is a very good rebounder.
Dallas Mavericks – Luka Dončić
Doncic isn’t just the Mavs’ best player; he’s one of the best hoopers the world has ever seen. Could this be the year where he’ll win the MVP award and a championship as well?
Dallas Mavericks – Kyrie Irving
Arguably the best ball handler in league history, Irving is looking forward to delivering a championship for the Mavs next season.
Dallas Mavericks – Derrick Lively II
After a stellar rookie season, expect Lively’s game to elevate during his sophomore year. He’s Tyson Chandler 2.0 but with a developing three-point shot.
Dallas Mavericks – Klay Thompson
Thompson is perhaps the biggest free agency signing of the Mavs in the last couple of decades. Expect him to shoot a ton of open threes for the team this season.
Denver Nuggets – Nikola Jokić
Jokic is a three-time league MVP and arguably the best second-round pick in league history. Enough said.
Denver Nuggets – Jamal Murray
Murray may have faded during their series against the Wolves last season, but don’t count him out yet. He’s bound to bounce back this year for this beloved NBA team.
Denver Nuggets – Michael Porter Jr.
MPJ will be one of the keys to Denver’s success this season. He needs to be consistent and attack the rim more as part of his development as a player.
Denver Nuggets – Aaron Gordon
If Murray is Jokic’s Robin, then Gordon is Alfred. Gordon is the ultimate glue guy of the Nuggets.
Detroit Pistons – Cade Cunningham
Is Cunningham a top-tier talent? Maybe he is, but he is not comparable to the first tier yet. Nonetheless, he’s the best young talent the Pistons had in about a couple of decades.
Detroit Pistons – Jaden Ivey
Can Ivey and Cunnigham co-exist? Perhaps they can. While Ivey had an up-and-down season last year, he is expected to bounce back this year for this lowly NBA team.
Detroit Pistons – Jalen Duren
Duren is a solid, big man who plays above the rim and is a good rebounder for his size.
Detroit Pistons – Ausar Thompson
Thompson has shown that he has what it takes to become a very good three and D specialist in the NBA. Plus, he’s an outstanding rebounder at the small forward spot.
Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry
Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history and the Warriors’ offensive engine since 2009. With Klay Thompson gone, expect Curry to go supernova for this famed NBA team this year.
Golden State Warriors – Jonathan Kuminga
The Warriors’ success largely depends on how far Kuminga develops as a player this season. Is he capable of being an all-star caliber player for the Dubs?
Golden State Warriors – Draymond Green
While Green is not the same player as he was three years ago, his fiery personality remains the same for the Warriors. He wants redemption, whether the league likes it or not.
Golden State Warriors – Brandin Podziemski
Podziemski was a revelation for the Dubs last season as a rookie. He’s expected to start as a shooting guard for the Warriors after Klay Thompson’s departure via free agency.
Houston Rockets – Jalen Green
While Sengun may be the best player for them now, Green’s development will be the vital cog in this team’s success. If he can reach his full potential as a player, the Rockets will go a long way.
Houston Rockets – Alperen Sengun
Baby Jokic with athleticism. Sengun’s just scratching the surface of his potential. He’ll become a massive problem in this league this season.
Houston Rockets – Jabari Smith Jr.
After a nonchalant rookie season, Smith Jr. is slowly finding his niche for the Rockets. The potential to succeed is already there. He just needs to hone his talents and use his length to dominate smaller players.
Houston Rockets – Reed Sheppard
Putting a rookie above Fred VanVleet may be a risky move, but if Sheppard plays his cards well this season, he may become a popular choice to start at the point guard spot for this NBA team.
Indiana Pacers – Tyrese Haliburton
Haliburton is one of the league’s best young playmakers and shooters. He still needs a sick nickname, though. Any suggestions?
Indiana Pacers – Pascal Siakam
The Pacers rolled the dice with Siakam via trade last season, and it paid off in a big way. The Pacers had an unprecedented run to the Eastern Conference Finals before bowing out to the eventual champions, Boston.
Indiana Pacers – Myles Turner
Turner is an elite shot-blocker who can also stretch the floor with shooting, especially behind the three-point line.
Indiana Pacers – Benedict Mathurin
A lot of people said that if Mathurin wasn’t injured, the Pacers had what it takes to beat the Celtics in the playoffs. Maybe yes or no. We’ll never know. Let’s just hope both teams will clash again in the playoffs next year.
Los Angeles Clippers – Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi is one of the best two-way players in the league when healthy. Emphasis on the last phrase of that sentence. Can he truly stay injury-free?
Los Angeles Clippers – James Harden
This is not the James Harden we were accustomed to five years ago. Still, he is more than capable of dropping a few 30-piece nights whenever he feels like it.
Los Angeles Clippers – Ivica Zubac
Zubac is a solid rim protector and rebounder. He doesn’t have much of an offensive repertoire outside 10 feet, but he’s effective in what he does.
Los Angeles Clippers – Terrance Mann
While Mann will never become an all-star caliber player like others projected him to be, he’s a solid role player for this NBA team.
Los Angeles Lakers – LeBron James
LeBron is the ageless superstar who remains one of the best all-around players in the league today. It’s quite baffling that he still puts up MVP-like numbers at almost 40 years old.
Los Angeles Lakers – Anthony Davis
For this Lakers team to truly dominate again, AD needs to play with urgency. He needs to take over games and not defer to LeBron, especially when the lights are brighter.
Los Angeles Lakers – Austin Reaves
It’s pretty admirable that Reaves managed to carve out a very nice role for himself in this famous NBA team after being overlooked early on in his career.
Los Angeles Lakers – D'Angelo Russell
Is DA capable of being the main floor general of a title-caliber team? His previous bouts of inconsistencies may hound him, but the Lakers truly have no other choice at this point.
Memphis Grizzlies – Ja Morant
We are all perplexed about what version of Ja Morant we’ll see next season. Will he be as dynamic as before? Can he stay out of trouble? It’s safe to say that a healthy Morant is an excellent asset to the league.
Memphis Grizzlies – Jaren Jackson Jr.
JJJ is one of the best rim protectors in the league. However, he tends to fall in love with his three-point shot. For this NBA team to compete against the best in the league, he does need to have some go-to moves inside the paint.
Memphis Grizzlies – Desmond Bane
Without Morant, Bane had to shoulder most of the offensive load for the Grizzlies last season. He struggled at times but did his job admirably.
Memphis Grizzlies – Zach Edey
While Marcus Smart is deserving of this spot, many pundits think that Edey will become a dominant force for the Grizzlies this season alongside JJJ at the paint.
Miami Heat – Jimmy Butler
There are some rumblings about Butler’s future with the Heat this offseason. He’s still with the team, but for how long? As long as he’s wearing a Heat jersey, Butler remains the main guy for Coach Spo and company.
Miami Heat – Bam Adebayo
Adebayo has grown into one of the best centers in the league in recent years. He’s not at Jokic or Embiid’s tier, per se, but he’s in the top five for sure.
Miami Heat – Tyler Herro
Herro is capable of taking over games whenever Miami needs some scoring punch if either Butler or Adebayo is struggling. Can he become a consistent scoring threat for this NBA team this season?
Miami Heat – Jaime Jaquez Jr.
After a breakout rookie year, a lot of big things are expected from Jaquez Jr. for the 2024-2025 NBA season.
Milwaukee Bucks – Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Bucks had a disappointing end to their campaign last season, as Giannis sat out most of the playoffs. This has been a trend since their title run in 2021. Can he bounce back and stay injury-free?
Milwaukee Bucks – Damian Lillard
As expected, Lillard struggled with the Bucks last season but played admirably in the playoffs. There’s hope that he and Giannis will make a serious run this year and make the Bucks top-tier contenders again.
Milwaukee Bucks – Khris Middleton
Sadly, Middleton’s injury-riddled career is slowly catching up on him. But when healthy, he’s still a lethal scorer for the Bucks.
Milwaukee Bucks – Brook Lopez
Lopez is a top shot-blocker and floor-spacing center for Milwaukee. He’s lost a step or two on the court but remains effective nonetheless.
Minnesota Timberwolves – Anthony Edwards
Edwards is a rising superstar with elite scoring and athleticism. Many have favorably compared him as Jordan-like. Will he rise to the occasion and become the face of the league in a few years?
Minnesota Timberwolves – Karl-Anthony Towns
At 28, KAT is actively doing everything in his power to make the Wolves legitimate contenders in the league. He’s often regarded as the second-best player for this NBA team.
Minnesota Timberwolves – Rudy Gobert
Shaq can endlessly hate on Gobert, but at the end of the day, the 7 foot 2 behemoth has won four Defensive Player of the Year awards in his career.
Minnesota Timberwolves – Naz Reid
With Reid’s emergence, is KAT’s position on the team at stake? Probably not, as Reid’s game is better suited to come off the bench rather than start. He gives the Wolves an additional punch whenever KAT or Edwards are struggling on the floor.
New Orleans Pelicans – Zion Williamson
When healthy, Zion is a beast like no other. He needs to stay that way in order for this NBA team to have a chance to go deep in the playoffs.
New Orleans Pelicans – Brandon Ingram
There’s definitely some drama happening between Ingram and the Pelicans this offseason. At his peak, Ingram is a great scorer and a second option for the Pelicans on any given night.
New Orleans Pelicans – CJ McCollum
McCollum is a veteran guard known for his scoring and leadership. He keeps the egos in check on this young Pelicans team, which is full of talent.
New Orleans Pelicans – DeJounte Murray
After the Young and Murray experiment failed in Atlanta, Murray gets a fresh start with New Orleans, where he is expected to play the point again.
New York Knicks – Jalen Brunson
A crafty playmaker and clutch scorer, Brunson essentially went from a second-round pick with Dallas to a superstar with the Knicks. He is the best player for this world-renowned NBA team since the Carmelo Anthony era.
New York Knicks – Mikal Bridges
With the addition of Mikal Bridges, the Knicks are widely viewed as the team that could possibly unseat the Celtics as the reigning Eastern Conference champs this season.
New York Knicks – OG Anunoby
Oh boy. The Knicks are loaded. Anunoby played well for the Knicks in last season’s playoffs before going down with an injury. If this team could stay healthy, there’s no doubt they can challenge Boston at the top.
New York Knicks – Julius Randle
Don’t let his injury woes fool you, as Randle is still capable of contributing to the Knicks in a lesser capacity, even with their talented additions this offseason.
Oklahoma City Thunder – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
SGA finished second in MVP voting last season. He’s one of the brightest stars in the league today.
Oklahoma City Thunder – Chet Holmgren
If it weren’t for Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren would have won the ROTY award easily. But don’t fret for Chet, as he’s going to be one of the best players for OKC for years to come.
Oklahoma City Thunder – Jalen Williams
This OKC roster is just abundant in young talent, isn’t it? Add Jalen Williams to that list. He’s part of the core of this young NBA team indefinitely.
Oklahoma City Thunder – Isaiah Hartenstein
The newly signed Hartenstein should immediately make an impact for this young team next season and help them come playoff time.
Orlando Magic – Paolo Banchero
After a stellar season in which he established himself as the franchise player for this young team, expect Banchero to improve his game further this season.
Orlando Magic – Franz Wagner
A versatile forward with scoring and playmaking ability, Wagner is the perfect player alongside rising star Paolo Banchero for this up-and-coming NBA team.
Orlando Magic – Jalen Suggs
Suggs really came out to play last season for Orlando, and the team’s optimistic that he will continue his stellar play for them this season.
Orlando Magic – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
KCP’s signing is a signal that the Magic are serious about making some noise in the East this year. He’s a two-time NBA champ with the Lakers and the Nuggets in his previous stops.
Philadelphia 76ers – Joel Embiid
Embiid is one of the most dominant big men in the NBA today. Now that Paul George has been added to the mix, he needs to prove that he can take this team to the next level in the East.
Philadelphia 76ers – Tyrese Maxey
Maxey’s growth from a flashy point guard to a star player was amazing to see, especially for Philly fans. Should he take another leap, then the Sixers will be fun to watch for the next few years.
Philadelphia 76ers – Paul George
The Sixers should have no excuses now that they’ve added Paul George to their roster. At his top form, George is one of the best offensive weapons in the league.
Philadelphia 76ers – Kelly Oubre Jr.
Now that Oubre Jr. has secured his extension with the Sixers, it looks like he’s motivated to ball out for them this season.
Phoenix Suns – Kevin Durant
One of the league’s most efficient and versatile scorers ever, Durant is still at the top of his game despite entering father time. Will he do a LeBron and keep it up until he’s 40?
Phoenix Suns – Devin Booker
Booker has been a consistent scorer for Phoenix for the last several years. He was tasked with playing the point for them last season and has done a good job facilitating the Suns’ offense.
Phoenix Suns – Bradley Beal
A prolific scorer during the entirety of his career, Beal now adds depth to the Suns’ backcourt alongside Devin Booker.
Phoenix Suns – Grayson Allen
Allen really balled out for the Suns last season, especially when Beal was out due to an injury.
Portland Trail Blazers – Anfernee Simons
A scoring guard with excellent three-point shooting, Simons is projected to continue to lead the Blazers’ offense post-Damian Lillard era.
Portland Trail Blazers – Jerami Grant
Grant is a versatile forward known for his defense and scoring. While he’s not built as a number option for this NBA team, he is the ultimate glue guy for this young Blazers squad.
Portland Trail Blazers – Deni Avdija
Avdija’s arrival from Washington is one of the most underrated roster moves in the NBA this offseason. His game is evolving, and he is becoming a solid young stud as he matures.
Portland Trail Blazers – Deandre Ayton
Ayton was somehow inconsistent despite being thrust into a low-pressure environment last season with Portland. But he had shown some glimpses of brilliance for a few games, and there’s hope that it will carry over next year.
Sacramento Kings – De'Aaron Fox
One of the fastest guards in the league, Fox is also known for his clutch scoring for the Kings. He’s one of the best floor generals in the game right now.
Sacramento Kings – Domantas Sabonis
Sabonis truly established himself as one of the best playmaking big men in the game during his time with Sacramento.
Sacramento Kings – Keegan Murray
A rising forward with strong shooting and defensive upside, Murray has slowly become a top option for the Kings in recent years.
Sacramento Kings – Malik Monk
Monk truly found his niche as a player for Sacramento. The former lottery pick has gone from being a fringe NBA player into one of the best Sixth Man in the league today.
San Antonio Spurs – Victor Wembanyama
It is safe to say that Wembanyama will be the face of the league in just a few short years. He’s that good.
San Antonio Spurs – Chris Paul
It’s kind of weird to put CP3’s name here, but he’s a member of the San Antonio Spurs next season. As one of the greatest point guards ever, he deserves to be in this spot for this year.
San Antonio Spurs – Keldon Johnson
Johnson has been the Spurs’ most consistent player after the short-lived DeRozan era. He is a good piece to have for a rebuilding NBA team like San Antonio.
San Antonio Spurs – Devin Vassell
When healthy, Vassell is one of the best shooters in the league. He’s like a lite version of Ray Allen.
Toronto Raptors – Scottie Barnes
Barnes is one of the most skilled and versatile players in the NBA right now. He’s arguably the Raptors’ star player.
Toronto Raptors – Immanuel Quickley
Quickley is a lightning-quick guard with a decent jump shot from the perimeter and the three-point line.
Toronto Raptors – RJ Barrett
Barrett showed flashes of improvement for the Raptors last season, especially on both ends of the floor.
Toronto Raptors – Jakob Poeltl
A strong rim protector and rebounder in the middle, Poeltl is not flashy but very effective in what he does on the court.
Utah Jazz – Lauri Markkanen
As a versatile forward who excels at scoring from inside and out, Markkanen’s next goal is to guide the Jazz to the playoffs next year.
Utah Jazz – Jordan Clarkson
His playstyle may be a bit erratic, but once he gets it going, Clarkson is an effective scorer from anywhere on the court.
Utah Jazz – John Collins
Collins is a good rebounding forward and possesses a strong ability to finish around the rim.
Utah Jazz – Collin Sexton
It looks like Sexton has finally found a home with the Jazz after commanding their offensive schemes last season.
Washington Wizards – Kyle Kuzma
While Kuzma isn’t going to be a star, he’s still good enough to lead this team to some degree of relevance.
Washington Wizards – Jonas Valanciunas
Valanciunas has had a steady career in the NBA for each team he’s been with. Now, with the Wizards, he’s expected to start for them this season and guide prized rookie Alex Sarr on his NBA journey.
Washington Wizards – Jordan Poole
We had to include Poole here, even though he had a miserable campaign last season. Will he wake up from his nightmare and turn it around this year? The Wizards surely hope so.
Washington Wizards – Bilal Coulibaly
Coulibaly had an inconsistent rookie season, but the flashes of potential are certainly there. He is poised to have a bigger role for this team moving forward.
