Boston Celtics fans used explicit language as they jeered Draymond Green, who scored just 2 points and had four rebounds and two turnovers before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
The Golden State Warriors forward and his wife, Hazel Renee, called out Boston Celtics fans for their behavior during Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
On his podcast, Green said he was “happy” his son heard the chants because he can use it to teach him a life lesson down the road. Klay Thompson was also critical of Celtics fans during his postgame press conference.
With so much talk about the fan base being terrible, Al Horford’s sister decided to come to the defense of Celtics fans by posting a strong message to her Twitter account.
“People try so hard to villainize Boston’s fan base when the behavior from our fans is pretty much on par with just about every other team in the NBA,” Anna Horford wrote. “Passion is everywhere. Vulgarity is everywhere. Like it or not, it’s part of the game – always has been.”
She continued: “Slurs & threats are obviously never okay, but you’re going to hear the word b—h and you’re going to hear f-bombs. It is what it is.”

The Celtics host the Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals Friday night, and they hold a 2-1 lead in the series. The Celtics defeated the Warriors 116-100 in the last meeting.
The Celtics are 28-13 in home games. The Warriors are 22-19 on the road.
You can expect Game 4 to be even rowdier with all the talk centered around what the Boston fan base is doing.
