A video of Al Horford’s young daughter hugging him has gone viral on social media. The heartwarming moment occurred after the Boston Celtics closed out the Eastern Conference semifinal series against Cleveland. This happened after Horford became the first player in NBA postseason history to record 20+ points, 15+ rebounds, 5+ three-pointers made, and 3+ blocks in a single game.
Another cute moment occurred when his daughter hugged her and said something funny. After the hug, she suddenly moved away and reminded Horford about how bad he smelled.
“Why do you smell so sweaty & weird?” Horford’s daughter said.
AI Horford Credits his Success to God
During an interview, Horford credited the team’s success to God, emphasizing that the night was very special to him and expressing his desire to give glory to the Lord. He acknowledged that the team struggled in the first quarter but ultimately won the series, and he emphasized his intention to bring more energy to the team.
“First of all, for me, I have to give the glory to the Lord. Tonight was a special night, you know for our group because we had this chance to close it out. For me, the biggest thing was just bringing energy to our group; I felt like we lacked it in the first quarter. Horford said.
When I came back in the second, I felt like we needed to step it up. We were talking about a lot in the huddle, but we weren’t really getting it done. We have had a great opportunity here at home to handle this, and, um, I knew it was going to take a lot more than just playing a normal game.” Horford added.
