The love for Nia Long has been flowing strongly after everybody found out she was cheated on by her longtime partner, Boston Celtics head coach, Ime Udoka.
The professional basketball coach was suspended from his role as Head Coach of the Boston Celtics. Hours before the announcement, ESPN, citing multiple sources, reported that Udoka was facing disciplinary action for his alleged “role in an intimate relationship with a female member of the franchise’s staff.”
In the Celtics’ statement, the team said Udoka was suspended for the 2022-2023 season, effective immediately, due to “violations of team policies.” It added, “A decision about his future with the Celtics beyond this season will be made at a later date.”
In light of Udoka’s accusation of engaging in an “improper intimate and consensual relationship” with a female staff member, the beloved actress has seemingly responded to the firestorm.
Long told Page Six on Friday that although “recent events” have been “difficult” for her to “process,” she’s turning to her loved ones for strength.
“The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me,” the statement read.
“I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.”
Long and Udoka share a 10-year-old son and have been engaged since 2015.
