Fans simply couldn’t handle it after watching a Philadelphia 76ers cheerleader accept a marriage proposal during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
The show featured a segment in which fans dressed in onesies. One of those fans wore a blue dog’s head and would get down on one knee to ask one of the Philly dancers to marry him after revealing his face.
The fan, now known to be Chris Girard, actually got cheerleader Jackie Murtha to say acquiesce. (Awwwww).
It must have been a puzzling sight at first, with many likely wondering whether Jackie even knew the guy, but she wasted no time putting their questions to rest as she kissed him. Turns out he’s her boyfriend.
Fans apparently feel Chris is out of Jackie’s league and expressed their jealousy in the comments. You could check some of the shade out below:

“You know this gorgeous lady is not gonna marry that dork, but at least she didn’t embarrass him,” one fan wrote.
Girard took it in stride, though. “DEAR COMMENT SECTION: I KNOW SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE. I AM JUST HAPPY TO BE HERE,” he tweeted.
This is obviously a big W for Chris, who has probably also given hope to other average men out there.
