Some players are making it to the Hall Of Fame way too easily now, while others should’ve made it, but didn’t. The NBA Hall Of Fame is becoming very controversial in today’s NBA and as a result of that, some players in the Hall Of Fame shouldn’t be there, and some that aren’t in the Hall Of Fame should be in it Making the Hall Of Fame should be something to be very proud of
There are snubs and undeserving players in all categories, and the Hall Of Fame is no different. Let’s look at 5 NBA players who should be removed from the NBA Hall Of Fame, and 5 players who should be put into the Hall Of Fame.
NBA Hall Of Fame Players.. To be or not to be!
WHO SHOULD BE REMOVED: Mo Cheeks
Removed from the NBA Hall Of Fame: Still assistant coaching in the NBA, Mo Cheeks had a pretty solid NBA career. He averaged 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists. Those stats don’t jump out at most people as a Hall Of Fame career. He had one NBA championship where he wasn’t the main guy. He had 4 All-Star appearances and 4 all-defensive first teams. Those are solid accolades, but again, not enough of a case for Cheeks to be in the Hall Of Fame.
WHO SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME: Shawn Kemp
Should be in the NBA Hall Of Fame: Supersonics legend Shawn Kemp finished his career at 15 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting about 50% a game. Those are very solid stats for a pure center back in the day. Kemp made 6 All-Star teams and was named to 3 All NBA teams in his career. Kemp was known for his athleticism and powerful dunks which brought a lot of cheer to the crowd. Kemp never won a championship, however he played a massive role in many successful Supersonic teams. Had Kemp won a title, he would probably be in the NBA. There are worse players in the Hall Of Fame also without a ring.
WHO SHOULD BE REMOVED: Bill Walton

Removed from the NBA Hall Of Fame: Walton was a superstar college basketball player, which by itself could enter him into the Hall Of Fame, however, you need to have a semi-decent NBA career to make the Hall Of Fame if you were that good in college. The nearly 7-foot center was good enough in college to draw the interest of the Blazers who picked number 1. Walton did win 2 championships and an MVP, but he was more known for his injury problems. He only played one full year, and he missed 2 full years. He finished his career with 13 points and 10 rebounds a game. He should be in the Broadcasting Hall Of Fame, but not the player Hall Of Fame

WHO SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME: Jamal Crawford
Should be in the NBA Hall Of Fame: Jamal Crossover Crawford had a very exciting career in the NBA. His amazing crossovers and shooting stroke made him a must-watch player when he had the basketball in his hand. His highlight reel alone should have him in the Hall Of Fame since this is all for the fans and he was a fan favorite with nothing but impressive skills. He averaged 15 points a game and won the Sixth Man of the Year award 3 times. Not only did he win the award 3 times, but when people think of the award, they think of him. Jason Kidd even said the award should be named after him. If an award is named after someone, surely they should be in the Hall Of Fame.
WHO SHOULD BE REMOVED: Calvin Murphy
Should be in the NBA Hall Of Fame: Removed from the NBA Hall Of Fame: Calvin Murphy was also a crazy good college player, earning himself three All-Americans. In the NBA with the Rockets, he had a very solid 18 points per game. As a point guard, only averaging 4.4 assists per game is not very good. Murphy won a championship and played in a few all-star games, that’s it. His career alone seems very hard to put him in the Hall Of Fame, but he also has issues off the court that should suggest he shouldn’t be in. Murphy was accused of sexually assaulting 5 of his 14 kids.
WHO SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME: Amar’e Stoudemire
Should be in the NBA Hall Of Fame: Stoudemire had a very good career. He ended it with 19 points and 8 rebounds a game. As far as accolades go, he puts up a great case with being a 6-time All-Star, 5-time All-NBA, 2003 All-Rookie team as well as the 2003 Rookie of the Year. Stoudemire was a legend in the Phoenix Suns organization. His stats speak for themself and might be enough for a Hall Of Fame spot. Stoudemire also played a huge part in shaping the modern basketball game as we know it. His off-the-court characteristics and leadership give him a nice add-on to his case for the Hall Of Fame.
WHO SHOULD BE REMOVED: Arvydas Sabonis
Removed from the NBA Hall Of Fame: The father of current All-Star center Domantas Sabonis made the Hall Of Fame controversially as well. Sabonis was drafted in 1986, however, he didn’t actually appear in the NBA until 1995 due to many injuries and playing in Europe. More injuries led Sabonis to only 7 seasons, averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds at 7 feet 3 inches tall. Not only are his stats not nearly Hall Of Fame level, but his accolades aren’t either. All he did was make the All-Rookie team in his rookie year when he was 31. He didn’t win a ring or make an All-Star team. Sabonis is just a solid center in NBA history.
WHO SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME: Marques Johnson
Should be in the NBA Hall Of Fame: The Milwaukee Bucks legend has a great career stat-wise. He averaged a great 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists a game. That is already better than all the guys on this list who should be removed from the Hall Of Fame. Johnson’s accolades are great as well. He was a 5-time All-Star, 3-time All-NBA, and All-Rookie team. Marques also excelled in college at UCLA which can only help his case. He made an impact in every year he played and it’s a surprise to most he isn’t in the Hall Of Fame.
WHO SHOULD BE REMOVED: Bill Bradley
Removed from the NBA Hall Of Fame: A 10-year career as an important member of the New York Knicks is Bill Bradley’s story. He retired from the NBA for the political game. He ran for president in 2000 as a Democrat and lost in the primary race. Anyway, Bradley won 2 championships with New York and was only an All-Star once. Another average line of accolades for a player on this list. Bradley averages a very average 12 points and 3 rebounds a game. It’s really weird to see that and try to understand how he made it into the Hall Of Fame.
WHO SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME: Horace Grant
Should be in the NBA Hall Of Fame: Horace Grant’s stats will not jump out at you, not at all. He averages 11 points, 8 rebounds, and a block a game. However, his accolades say a lot. He is a 4 time NBA Champion, an NBA All-Star, and a 4-time All-Defensive team. Winning 4 rings is incredible no matter who you are. Grant’s number might not be great, but he was one of the best at doing things that don’t show up in the stat sheet. Grant was the grunt of the Chicago Bulls. He was their muscle and was an elite hustler and defensive presence.
