Julius Randle’s New York Knicks finished the 2023-24 season as the second-placed Eastern Conference side. However, the three-time All-Star forward’s injury forced him to miss the 2024 NBA Playoffs, and New York crashed out in the semi-finals. Ahead of the 2024-25 season, Randle is committed to leading the Knicks to greatness no matter what.
Tom Thibodeau’s Knicks had a sensational last season, with star guard Jalen Brunson leading from the front. With the addition of Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in the roster that already includes OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo, and Brunson at the helm, Randle is looking forward to achieving glory with the Knicks.
According to Ian Begley of SNY, Randle believes that the Knicks have become the championship contenders with their 2024-25 roster, and the forward is willing to play any role the team asks. He wrote, “Randle has been excited about this Knicks team and believes they can make a run. He’s looking forward to being back, healthy, with this group and thinks things can be special with Bridges. He wants to win and win in New York.”
Is Julius Randle Frustrated With New York Knicks?
Last week, the Knicks star forward took to his Instagram handle to respond to rumors that the NBA franchise would not sell his jerseys in the offseason. A Knicks fan page on X, “Big Knicks Energy,” shared a post of merchandise at the official Knicks store in Madison Square Garden. While the now-deleted post contained the jerseys of several Knicks stars, a No.30 jersey was a big omission.
Randle took to his Instagram handle and jokingly asked the Knicks for an explanation. In his Instagram stories, the NBA forward wrote, “Worddddd this y’all feel?” and “The truth shall come to light.”

While his response sparked his transfer speculations, Julius Randle and the New York Knicks are keen on taking the franchise to their first NBA finals since the 1998-99 season.
