The NBA has unveiled the top first-year stars from the 2023–24 season, announcing the All-Rookie teams to honor these emerging talents. Rooke forward-center Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren were unanimously selected to the All-Rookie First Team. They both earned all 99 first-place votes in the Rookie of the Year voting.
Wembanyama was the first overall selection by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2023 NBA Draft. Holmgren then was picked by the Oklahoma City Thunder as the second overall pick. They both proved the trust of their teams in them, though for Holmgren, it was hard.
The other three in this rank are Brandon Miller, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Brandin Podziemski. Miller was a finalist for the Rookie of the Year alongside Wembanyama and Holmgren. He received 97 first-team votes and one second-team vote. Jaime Jaquez Jr. appeared on all 99 ballots, while Brandin Podziemski was on 97, rounding out the first-team selections with strong support.

Many fans criticized the decision, suggesting that the selection panel might have confused him with Amen Thompson, who made the Second Team.
