On Monday, President Donald Trump decided to blast NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and the sport of NASCAR.
Wallace was one of the leading voices in getting NASCAR to ban the Confederate flag from events and was the main topic of discussion after a noose was found in his garage stall. The FBI investigated the noose and found that it had been in the garage since late 2019, acting as a garage pull.
Trump called out Wallace and poked at NASCAR for banning the flying of Confederate flags at its races.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, prominent driver Jimmie Johnson posted a simple message that showed the No. 43 – Wallace’s number – above the hashtag “#IStandWithBubba.”
Bubba Wallace has earned the respect of his fellow drivers and they won’t let anybody, not even the President, come in between that.
