NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson’s in-laws and their grandson were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Oklahoma last month, and now we are getting a first-hand account of that dreadful night.
On Tuesday, TMZ got ahold of police body cam footage of them at the home that shos them hearing a single gun shot as they got set to enter the home. It turns out it was Johnson’s mother-in-law killing herself.
Officers arrived and saw one person dead in a hallway inside the front door before they heard a gunshot and then found two others dead inside the home.
Police believe NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson’s mother-in-law Terry Janway shot and killed her husband Jack Janway and their grandson Dalton. The dead were identified as Jack Janway, 69; his wife, Terry Janway, 68; and their grandson, Dalton Janway, 11, Muskogee police said in a statement.
Terry and Jack are the parents of Johnson’s wife, Chandra.
Johnson’s team withdrew from a race scheduled for that week after the tragedy and said his family has asked for privacy.
