NASCAR has made it official, but unlike the NBA, MLB, and NHL, the show will continue to go on, but without anybody watching in the stands.
No fans will be allowed at this weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The decision is due to the spread of coronavirus.
“At this time, NASCAR will hold its race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway without fans in attendance. These events will be restricted to competitors, crews, officials and other necessary personnel to conduct the race. We will work with public health officials as we determine future scheduling beyond these events.”
As of right now, it seems as if the XFL is the only other league that is continuing to play this weekend, but also without fans in the stands.
