During the WrestleMania XL match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, the drama was already high, with The Bloodline, Seth Rollins, The Rock, and John Cena messing up the arena. But it sent chills down every WWE fans’ spine when the light went off and The Undertaker appeared. Following that, the legendary “Deadman” rose again and gave a massive chokeslam to The Rock. Thrills, isn’t it? However, what’s more interesting is that the former WWE legend made his special appearance on very short notice.
Recently, The Undertaker was on the former UFC fighter Demetrious Johnson’s YouTube channel, Mighty. When he was asked what transpired behind his special appearance at WrestleMania XL, the “Deadman” had an interesting story to tell.
The Undertaker Chokeslamed The Rock Just After A Call On WrestleMania Night
The WWE legend recalled that he was going to be in Philadelphia, the same place where WrestleMania was taking place, for some shows. Before the PPV event, he received a call from Triple H, who proposed the idea. The “Deadman” said,
“It’s a pretty interesting story! It must have been late Tuesday night. I get a call from Triple H and he goes, ‘We’re thinking about this thing, your name’s come up.’ And I was like, ‘Really?’”
After his call from Triple H on Tuesday, the WWE Legend did not receive any call until the event day. The Undertaker continued and said,
“Sunday, I’m sitting in the suite [at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia]. I’m sitting in the suite with my family and friends and watching it. All of a sudden, I feel, you know, I feel my phone going off. And I look at it. I’m like, ‘Uh..’ Put my phone up. I said [to wife], ‘I’ll be back in a little bit…’ She knew what it meant.”
