The UFC 302 is all set to advance in New Jersey, USA on Saturday. The pound-for-pound king Islam Makhachev is all set to defend his belt against the Diamond Dustin Poirier. Both fighters will scrap for glory in the main event. Makhachev is the favorite one coming into the bout, carrying a massive wrestling pedigree in the cage.
Khabib’s team released many clips, giving glimpses of Islam’s camp. Makhachev’s team recently gave out another warning to his future contenders: Dustin Poirier and Arman Tsarukyan.
Manager Ali Abdelaziz Sends Warning to Poirier and Tsarukyan
Islam Makhachev was spotted in camp with his Dagestani brother, led by the former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Their manager, Ali Abdelaziz, sent a stern warning to his next opponent, Dustin Poirier, and his next contender, Arman Tsarukyan. Ali said,
He also beats Arman. You know. Right now is a wrong time to fight Islam Makhachev.
Ali clarified that Islam is the pound-for-pound king for a reason and will beat Dustin Poirier in the first round and put away Arman Tsarukyan a few months later. Abdelaziz revealed that he had finished six of his last fights and even finished Alexander Volkanovski after their fight went the distance. Islam wants to finish Poirier in the octagon before the bell rings.
Dustin Poirier has struggled against natural grapplers in the past in title fights. He has lost both his title fights via rear naked choke. He has also fought Islam’s coach, Khabib Nurmagomedov, in the octagon and struggled against his wrestling. Makhacehv will surely want to take Islam down in the cage and try and finish him there.

Poirier must be at the top of his take-down defense game if he wants to win against the Lightweight champion. It will be interesting to see what happens in the main event of the UFC 302 this weekend when the cage is locked. Will Islam retain the belt, or will the Diamond shine for the last time?
