Tom Aspinall is set to co-headline the pay-per-view event in his hometown of Manchester, defending his UFC interim heavyweight title against Curtis Blades at UFC 304. However, Jon Jones, currently sidelined from the UFC due to injury, has criticized Tom Aspinall by suggesting he wouldn’t be shocked if Aspinall loses to Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.
Curtis is a lot faster than people realize: Jon Jones
Jon Jones has criticized Tom Aspinall, stating that he wouldn’t be shocked if Curtis Blaydes defeats the Aspinall at UFC 304. He believes Aspinall might suffer another loss, expressing his prediction for the upcoming bout on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Curtis won, i’ve seen scenarios like this time and time again. Dude prematurely drinking his own Kool-Aid ends up with a huge piece of humble pie. I mean If Sergei can touch Tom that easy, I’m sure Curtis can too. When Curtis decides to go, he’s a lot faster than people realize, and he hits hard. A few well timed shots and that strong top game, it could be a long night for old Tommy boy. Either way, I’ll be watching, excited to have some additional footage”, Jones posted.
With a record of 14 wins and 3 losses, Aspinall responded with consecutive knockout victories against Marcin Tybura and Sergei Pavlovich. The latter triumph earned him the interim title. On the other hand, Blaydes, with a record of 18 wins, 4 losses, and 1 no-contest, recovered from a loss to Pavlovich by defeating Jailton Almeida. Jon Jones has made his prediction, but only time will reveal the outcome of this fight.
