Conor McGregor is set to return to the octagon this summer finally. The Irishman was previously seen in action against Dustin Poirier back in 2021.
In that fight, McGregor suffered a nasty leg injury, which initially kept him out of action. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his return, and at one point, it looked like he would never return to the UFC again.
However, that is not the case, and Conor McGregor is set to return at UFC 303 and will fight Michael Chandler in the main event of the card. Ahead of the fight, a lot has been said about how this could be his final fight with the promotion.
In this piece, we will find out if that could be the case. Interestingly, his fight against Chandler is his second last fight on his current contract. If McGregor does not retire following UFC 303, we will see him inside the octagon at least once more.
Conor McGregor’s coach makes bold predictions for his fight against Michael Chandler
Many have suggested that Conor lack of action could prove to be helpful for Michael Chandler. However, McGregor’s coach believes otherwise.
Interestingly, he recently made a bold prediction for the fight and suggested that he does not see the fight going even two rounds; he said:
“He’s looking super slick… I said this from the start, I see similarities to the Mendes fight. I’d be surprised if it can go two rounds. [McGregor] hits too hard, he’s too sharp. Is there going to be scrappiness and a few takedowns and stuff? Maybe But every round starts on the feet and his ability to get back there is underestimated.”
