Dana White announces UFC Saudi Arabia card
The UFC loves going international in order to attract more eyeballs to their bouts. Dana White made a massive announcement on his social media handle. He said,
In the main event will be former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker versus thirteen and O undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.
White announced that the UFC will be going to Saudi Arabia for a fight night event which will be headlined by two of the best middleweight superstars on the planet. It’ll be interesting to see how Whittaker matches up with Khamzat as both if them have a massive wrestling pedigree.
Robert Whittaker won his fight against the powerful Brazilian Paulo Costa after putting a clinic against him. Khamzat won against welterweight great Kamaru Usman when the former champion stepped in on short notice. The Whittaker fight might be the toughest one in Khamzat Chimaev’s career as Robert is known to be great both on feet and in grappling department.

Chimaev has submitted opponents in the very first round on multiple occasions. He has rendered his opponent useless in the wrestling many times after showcasing his rather powerful and impressive wrestling grip. Khamzat made waves in the UFC when he won his first two fights in the organization while conceding only one strike. But as he later fought higher ranked opponents he struggled a bit in the striking department.
Other spectacular matchups were also announced in the UFC. Which include Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alexander Volkov, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Daniel Rodriguez, Johnny Walker vs. Volkan Oezdemir and Shara Magomedov vs. Ihor Potieria.
It’ll be interesting to see how he fares against former champion Robert Whittaker on feet when they meet in June.
