Conor McGregor’s return has been the talking point for quite some time. He has fought just 3 three times since 2019 and fans are eagerly waiting for him to step into the octagon again.
Last year in 2023, McGregor was billed to return for a fight against Michael Chandler. The two acted as opposing coaches in the last season of The Ultimate Fighter, however, they didn’t fight following the show’s completion.
Since then, a lot has been said about if and when Conor McGregor will return to the octagon. Interestingly, Dana White also spoke about having troubles with negotiations and how a return for McGregor is uncertain.
However, thankfully for the fans, it looks like Conor McGregor still wants to fight. This past week, McGregor revealed that he already had a few camps but his fight was delayed.
Moreover, during a recent media interaction, McGregor spoke about how he wants to complete his current UFC contract. He revealed that he still has two fights left in his contract and will look to complete it.

Who will Conor McGregor fight upon his return to the UFC?
As mentioned earlier, Conor McGregor was teased to take on Michael Chandler for his return. Interestingly, Chandler himself has stayed out of action for a while as he pursues a fight against ‘The Notorious’.
While Michael Chandler will most likely be his next opponent, there are a couple of names that he might end up facing. One of those happens to be Nate Diaz. Having fought Diaz twice already, a trilogy between the two is widely talked about and both fighters have expressed their willingness for it.
Second, a fourth fight against Dustin Poirier might also be a possibility. That said, nothing is certain at the moment and it will be interesting to see what Conor McGregor’s future looks like.
