UFC 299: Fans have reacted to Jack Della Maddalena securing a TKO victory over Gilbert Burns at.
The rising welterweight star took on the former UFC welterweight title contender at UFC 299. Going into the fight, Burns was considered to be Maddalena’s toughest test so far inside the octagon and it was exactly that.
The first round of the fight was extremely close and both fighters looked to be at their best. However, it was Jack Della Maddalena who seemed to have gotten the upper hand thanks to his precise striking.
In the second round, Gilbert Burns was able to utilize his wrestling prowess much more and cause a lot of problems for Maddalena. In the third round, it was Burns who was controlling the fight and it looked like he might end up securing a decision victory at UFC 299.

Following an impressive performance against Gilbert Burns, Jack Della Maddalena opined on wanting to fight the best that the division has to offer. During the post-fight interview, the Australian called-out undefeated Shavkhat Rakhmonov and said:
“Shavkat Rakhmonov, I think me and you could make a hell of a title eliminator. One of the best in the business, let’s go!”
