Mikhail Litvin must be regretting his decision to challenge Khamzat Chimaev after he got brutalized inside the MMA Cage. The internet is buzzing after the 30-year-old UFC fighter returned for a bout against his fellow compatriot and social media influencer LITVIN. But what’s more interesting is that Chimaev beat down LITVIN in the most Sean Strickland-like way possible.
After around nine months of hiatus, Chimaev finally came back into the MMA cage. In a viral video, the 30-year-old brutally bashed the Russian YouTuber LITVIN and finished his bout in merely one minute.
Chimaev last fought inside the UFC octagon back in October 2023. Thereafter, the matchmakers scheduled the ‘Borz’ to face Robert Whittaker on June 22, 2024, but he had to withdraw because of poor health.
The UFC President, Dana White, expressed his discomfort with Chimaev’s recent health issues. While speaking at a press conference in June 2024, he mentioned that the 30-year-old Russian has been facing difficulties lately in getting back into the octagon. And he added that he was short of words on what to say about the fighter’s next bout.
UFC 308 Can Mark Khamzat Chimaev Return To Ultimate Fighting Championship
After demolishing Russian YouTuber LITVIN, Chimaev assured his fans about his better health. Now, reports suggest the 30-year-old will return to the UFC on October 26, 2024. Although there is no confirmation of who he’s going to face next, it seems he’s still pursuing Robert Whittaker for a bout.
When the ‘Borz’ withdrew from the UFC Saudi Arabia, ‘The Reaper’ faced Ikram Aliskerov on the same day. Whittaker recorded a brilliant over the replacement fighter, which might have certainly attracted Chimaev.
