Last week, a clip went viral on social media where the English strongman Eddie Hall got into an MMA fight with two fighters of much smaller statures. Hall displayed why weight classes exist in combat sports as he finished his two rivals rather impressively. It seems like Eddie Hall loved the thrill of stepping into the cage, as recently, he was spotted in a sparring session with one of the UFC Heavyweight stars.
Eddie Hall was spotted sparring with fellow Englishman and interim Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall on the mat.
Tom Aspinall vs. Eddie Hall
Tom Aspinall is known to be one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC’s heavyweight division and holds the interim strap. This did not stop the 2017 Strongman championship winner from getting into a scrapping session with the fighter. The strongman seemed to have an exciting time the previous time around when he sparred with the duo of streamers in the cage, so much so that he decided to return against Aspinall.
Tom can be spotted hitting Eddie with decent and precise jabs and crosses while Hall curls up in a defensive position. Hall replied with a few body shots, making Tom back off from the strongman in the cage. Hall held his own in quite a decent fashion in the sparring round against an elite opponent. Eddie Hall might have found his next calling after lifting heavy metal throughout his life.
The UFC might want to let Hall enter the octagon to see how he measures up against his fellow Heavyweights. Eddie Hall’s fame would be a massive draw and bring many eyeballs to MMA and the UFC. It will be interesting to see what happens soon with Eddie Hall.
