CEO of the UFC, Dana White, said on Saturday night that Conor McGregor will square off against Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas, which has long been scheduled. The card’s main event will be the UFC’s yearly International Fight Week.
Although McGregor had stated on January 1 that he would fight Chandler on that day, White’s announcement was the official announcement. According to White, the battle would start at 170 pounds.
The most prominent fighter in UFC history, McGregor, hasn’t competed since July 2021 due to a broken left leg sustained in a fight with Dustin Poirier. On “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2023, McGregor and Chandler competed as coaches against each other to fight each other once the reality show concluded.
