Two high-level fighters recently stepped into the spotlight. Khamzat Chimaev and Arman Tsarukyan, both rising stars in the UFC, found themselves locked in an intense grappling session that’s got everyone talking. The showdown happened during filming for Hype Reality 3, a Russian reality show that’s being touted as their version of The Ultimate Fighter. These two warriors weren’t just wrestling; they were putting their skills on full display.
Chimaev, known for his intimidating presence, took on Tsarukyan in a submission-only wrestling exchange. From the moment they locked up, it was clear this wouldn’t be an even match. The size difference was obvious. Chimaev, who typically competes in the middleweight division, towered over Tsarukyan, a lightweight fighter.
Tsarukyan went into the match with a survival mindset. “I will try to defend myself and avoid getting choked,” he told the cameras. Khamzat Chimaev, meanwhile, seemed almost amused by the challenge, commenting on his significant weight advantage.

“[Khamzat] is there [on the set], and if there is an opportunity to train with him, it would be good. Since he is tall and can work in a left-handed stance, it would be good,” said Tsarukyan via Sport 24.
Khamzat Chimaev brings some interesting qualities to the table. He is similar to Makhachev’s fighting style but with his own unique pressure-fighting approach. Both fighters are southpaws, which makes ‘Borz’ an ideal sparring partner for Tsarukyan’s preparation.
