Dana White Extends Best Wishes to Chan Sung Jung for Z-FIGHT NIGHT 1 Debut
Dana White recently announced the debut of Chan Sung Jung’s promotion through his Instagram, revealing it will be available on UFC Fight Pass. White also revealed the event will be on June 29th, 7 PM Korean Standard Time, at the Korea University in Seoul.
“Congratulations, buddy. I look forward to seeing your shows,” White said, bestowing Jung with his best wishes, citing him as one of his favorite MMA fighters. Z-FIGHT NIGHT 1 will have Sang Wook Kim take on Shinji Sasaki in the main event in a 161lb catchweight bout.
Interestingly, the event is on June 29, the same day as UFC 303: Pereira vs Prochazka II, the International Fight Week PPV. However, the event starts at 7:00 PM Korean Standard Time, which will be 6:00 AM in the USA. Nonetheless, White has promised to look out for Jung’s shows.
Jung retired from MMA after Max Holloway knocked him out in the main event of UFC Singapore in 2022. A two-time title challenger, Jung fell short of undisputed glory at the hands of Alexander Volkanovski and Jose Aldo.
