After an exciting fight night card in Riyadh, UFC Saudi Arabia, the promotion will shift its focus to UFC 303, the upcoming PPV event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is significant as it is during International Fight Week, when the UFC conducts its Hall of Fame ceremony and other activities.
Since it is a PPV event, there are three divisions of fights—Early Prelims, Prelims, and PPV Main Card. Initially slated for a Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler headliner, the event has had numerous changes. Let’s look at who all are competing at UFC 303.
UFC 303 Main Card
After Conor McGregor pulled out due to injury, the UFC replaced the main event with Alex Pereira vs. Jiri Prochazka II. The pair met at UFC 295, where the former TKOed the latter in the second round of the main event. Moreover, an exciting featherweight matchup between Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes is the co-main event of the PPV.
Khalil Rountree Jr. vs. Jamahal Hill was the original co-main event. However, Rountree pulled out due to a doping violation, and Carlos Ulberg replaced him. Afterward, Hill pulled out due to injury, and Anthony Smith replaced him. After Hill’s withdrawal, Ulberg pulled out for undisclosed reasons, and Roman Dolidze replaced him. Smith vs. Dolidze is the featured bout on the PPV.
The main card opening fight is an exciting welterweight matchup between the undefeated Ian Garry and Michael “Venom” Page. A women’s bantamweight matchup between Mayra Bueno Silva, a former title challenger, and Macy Chiasson rounds out the PPV main card.
