The octagon is getting ready for two championship belts at UFC 304 this coming weekend. It is shaping up to be a blockbuster event. The UFC is going back to Manchester, England, at the Co-Op Live Arena on July 27. With welterweight and interim heavyweight titles on the line, fans are in a frenzy to witness the upcoming PPV event.
Belal Muhammad will take on reigning welterweight champion Leon Edwards in the main event. Interestingly, this will be Edwards’ third title defense. Also, the animosity between these two surpasses even outside the Octagon. Moreover, England’s very own Tom Aspinall will seek to make his first defense of his interim title against Curtis Blaydes in a much-anticipated rematch in the co-main event.
Leon Edwards will earn a whopping $500,000 as base pay and a further $500,000 if he wins. He will also earn an incentive pay of around $42,000. Moreover, the Palestinian-American Belal Muhammad will likely earn a base pay of $80,000 to show and $80,000 if he defats his counterpart. He will also take home around $16,000 in sponsorship earnings.
Meanwhile, the co-main event fighter Tom Aspinall will reportedly earn a base pay of $210,000 and the same amount in case of a win. On the other hand, his opponent Curtis Blaydes will reportedly have a base pay of $400,000 in show money and the same amount if he comes out victorious. It is expected that he might earn around $20,000 from sponsorships.
