The UFC 304 fight card might have two title clashes, but one of them is flying under the radar. The flyweight bout between Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev has excitement written all over it. Preluding the battle, all the noise was about the alleged altercation the flyweights had at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas. Jean Silva was the news source, and Kape has now disputed the Brazilian.
“It’s not true. Jean Silva was just making it a little bit spicy. It’s not true at all. Nothing happened. Jean’s just making it little spicy,” Kape said in an interview with Inside Fighting’s Mike Owens, hilariously stating the Brazilian lightweight was promoting the fight.
As for his upcoming opponent, ‘Starboy’ revealed he had no beef with the Dagestan-born British flyweight. However, he admitted that the 23-year-old had not impressed him, though he sports an undefeated record with six wins in the UFC.
The 30-year-old also revealed that the UFC had told him his matchup against Mokaev was a number one contender fight. However, the flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja recently revealed that the UFC had already given a surprising title challenger, possibly Kai Asakura.
Jean Silva’s Details of Alleged Street Fight Between Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape
The MMA world learned about the alleged altercation between Mokaev and Kape when Silva revealed it in an interview with Ag Fight. Silva, a Kape teammate, vividly explained what he allegedly saw at the UFC PI.
“Manel Kape hit Mokaev here outside the gym a while ago. He elbowed Mokaev in the head on the street bro. Bro, he caught Mokaev at the entrance here to the PI, he headbutted him and elbowed him, in the street. He opened Mokaev’s head a week before his fight. He’s a psychopath,” Silva said.

Silva recently fought at UFC 303, knocking out Charles Jourdain in a catchweight bout after he missed. He has made a quick turnaround, accepting a short-notice lightweight fight against Drew Dober, the UFC lightweight record holder for most KO/TKOs in the division.
