Khabib Nurmagomedov has some shocking advice for Dustin Poirier. In a recent interaction on the ‘Pound 4 Pound’ show, ‘The Eagle’ doubled down on the future prospects of ‘Diamond.’ Much to everyone’s surprise, the UFC icon opined that Poirier should hang up his gloves for good now the time has come.
“I think Poirier have to stop fighting. I think he’s finished. Justin Gaethje, Khabib, Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson. This is old school brother. Stop fighting,” said Nurmagomedov.
However, the Dagestani fighter did not detail why exactly he was asking Poirier to retire. In reality, Dustin Poirier himself is in no mood to say goodbye.

After putting up a brave fight against the UFC lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, the 30-9 fighter failed to win the belt. While most people thought that was the end of Poirier, he announced his willingness to come back for yet another match. Despite the ‘Diamond’ calling out Makhachev for a title rematch, the possibilities of the same are quite bleak. However, Dana White recently dropped an interesting update on Poirier’s UFC future.
