Ian Garry’s personal life has garnered him more haters than fans. Garry’s marriage with Layla Anna-Lee, a Brazilian-British media personality who is 14 years older than him, attracted scathing criticism. However, their son, Leandro, stole the show recently during Garry’s interview with the broadcast team, leaving many, including Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik, in splits.
Leandro Garry Shows Off UFC Fighter Impersonations
Garry married Anna-Lee in February 2022 and announced the birth of Leandro in October of the same year. The child was part of his father’s training camp even as an infant, having met Song Kenan and Geoff Neal. Leandro has now impressed Daniel Cormier with impersonations of Max Holloway, Conor McGregor, and Alex Pereira.
When Garry said the fighters’ names, Leandro acted out their signature actions. For McGregor, the kid showed how the Irishman walks with loose hands. The infant also acted out Pereira’s bow and arrow ritual and Max Holloway’s pointing to the down action. “This kid is awesome,” said Cormier, who couldn’t stop laughing after what he saw.
Despite the light humor, Ian Garry’s primary focus is his UFC 303 PPV opener against Michael “Venom” Page. The Irishman initially targeted Colby Covington, but the three-time title challenger refused the fight. The undefeated 26-year-old has been very dismissive of Page’s chances against him.
On the other hand, Page is critical of his upcoming opponent, particularly because he admires Conor McGregor, his compatriot. However, Garry has defended those criticisms, comparing himself of McGregor to Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.
