Dana White and Co has an exciting fight night even in Abu Dhabi. Cory Sandhagen vs. Umar Nurmagomedov headlines the fight night for a number one contender bantamweight fight, with Nick Diaz and Vicente Luque in the welterweight co-main event.
One social media personality staple at the UFC events in UAE is Hasbulla Magomedovich Magomedov. Close to Team Khabib, Hasbulla has a separate fan base. Even Dana White is close to the Russian media sensation, as are several other UFC fighters and personalities.
Hasbulla Secures Rare Cage-Side Experience
Preluding UFC Saudi Arabia, Dana White spoke with Umar Nurmagomedov and Hasbulla via Instagram Live. Nurmagomedov and Hasbulla were in the mountains of Dagestan at the time. During their conversations, the 21-year-old requested tickets for UFC Abu Dhabi from White.
White had no qualms about it. Moreover, he even promised the Russian cage-side seats along with himself. Only a select few outside the UFC have been cage-side with White. To name a few, they are Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, and Priscilla Chan.
Hasbulla’s last appearance at the promotion’s event was at UFC 294, where Islam Makhachev knocked out Alexander Volkanovski. He was even at the stage when Makhachev and Volkanovski faced off.
At UFC Abu Dhabi, Umar Nurmagomedov, a close friend of Hasbulla, will look to bag the number one contender status. Standing in his way is Cory Sandhagen, 2nd ranked bantamweight on a 3-fight win streak.
