Recently, on “The MMA Hour,” Julianna Pena levied severe allegations against the female fighters training at American Top Team (ATT). Pena accused ATT women of rampant steroid use to gain an advantage in their bouts. Guess one of the biggest female fighters training at ATT? Kayla Harrison.
Regardless, the former PFL champion was quick to shut down the allegations suggesting that her future competitors are now finding reasons not to fight her at bantamweight.
Harrison responded to the allegations in her signature style on X (formerly known as Twitter).
On her highly-anticipated promotional debut, Harrison easily submitted Holly Holm in the second frame of their UFC 300 clash. Since then, fight fans have been clamoring for a title shot for the two-time Olympic Gold medalist. However, despite coming off a loss in July 2022, Pena seems next for Raquel Pennington, the champion.
That would leave Harrison without a big-name opponent. Currently ranked No.3 in the division, No.-ranked Ketlen Vieira or No. 4-ranked Irene Aldana, a former title challenger, seem like the ideal options for Harrison. However, the UFC has not made any official announcement.

Ali Abdelaziz’s High Praise for Kayla Harrison
Nobody is a bigger fan of Kayla Harrison than her manager, Ali Abdelaziz of Dominance MMA. Abdelaziz has even claimed Harrison would defeat Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili in a fight. Recently, he made yet another bold claim about the 34-year-old.
Harrison has already dominated Holly Holm, a former champion and future UFC Hall of Famer. Moreover, nobody in the division has the wrestling-grappling pedigree of Kayla Harrison. As per most, the former PFL champion becoming a UFC champion is an inevitability.
