The acclaimed HBO series House of Dragon has fans worldwide. After a scintillating first season in 2022, HBO released the second season’s first episode. It looks like Daniel Cormier, the former simultaneous UFC double champion, is a fan of the show.
Cormier became the second simultaneous double champion, after Conor McGregor, at UFC 226. Cormier, the light heavyweight champion at the time, won the heavyweight title by defeating Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Daniel Cormier Impressed by House of Dragon Series
Game of Thrones television series entertained the masses with its incredible storytelling. House of Dragon, the prequel series to Game of Thrones, appears to do the same, as it even garnered admiration from Daniel Cormier, the UFC champion turned commentator.
“Episode 1 of house of the dragon is done! Must admit didn’t wanna look at tv as the episode ended. But what a good show man! Whose side are you on? Green or the Blacks?” Cormier tweeted on X, formerly Twitter.
The Green and Black mentioned by Cormier are the two opposing factions on the series vying for the throne in the kingdom. The rivalry between them is the basis of the story. Cormier is no stranger to rivalries, evidenced by the ones he had with Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. Cormier is 0-1(1) against Jones at light heavyweight and 1-2 against Miocic at heavyweight.
For his next assignment, Cormier will be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, commenting on the UFC’s promotional debut in the kingdom. In the main event, Ikram Aliskerov will take on Robert Whittaker, the former middleweight champion.
