Arman Tsarukyan attained number-one contender status at UFC 303 but received a nine-month suspension. Minutes before he faced Charles Oliveira inside the Octagon, the 27-year-old punched a fan who seemingly disrespected him. A nine-month suspension will rule him out of a title fight, but he can reduce the suspension to six if he makes an anti-bullying video. Dan Hooker can’t wait to see what it will look like.
Speaking to Submission Radio, ‘The Hangman’ hilariously revealed his excitement to watch Tsarukyan’s anti-bullying video. “Arman, obviously, but he’s done the little suspension. Apparently, he does the anti-bullying bloody video, which I can’t wait for. Like, I’m going to soak that in,” the 34-year-old said, revealing he would’ve taken the 9-month suspension.
Hooker had earlier predicted Tsarukyan to defeat Islam Makhachev if they fought. The Kiwi even said the lightweight champion wouldn’t fight the Armenian fighter. Funnily enough, Makhachev has already defeated Tsarukyan and Hooker.
As for Hooker, he seemed excited to fight at UFC 305, where Israel Adesanya and Kai Kara-France, his City Kickboxing teammates, will be on the main and co-main event. Though he has fought in the same card with either, it will be the first time three will be on the same card.
Dan Hooker Predicts Adesanya to Return Stronger Than Ever
When the UFC announced a PPV event in Perth in August, everybody expected Dan Hooker to be on it, but it wasn’t the case. However, after Israel Adesanya pleaded and Hooker’s hilarious fake news announcements, the Kiwi procured a matchup against Mateusz Gamrot.
With Adesanya headlining UFC 305 against champion Dricus du Plessis, the PPV will likely break several records. Despite Adesanya coming off a loss and a relatively long lay-off, his teammate Hooker doesn’t think it would bother ‘The Last Stylenbender.’

“He’s had some time off, he was carrying some injuries, spent a lot of time just packing on some size and strength, bro, and he’s hitting like a truck, man. I can’t even be bothered sparring him; he’s hitting too hard. So, if you think he can just walk in his front door and raid his fridge, I think you’re in for a rude awakening, dude,” Hooker said of Adesanya, also admitting du Plessis is a solid opponent.
There is no bigger beef in the UFC than between du Plessis and Adesanya. Stemming from their shared African heritage, the rivalry has many layers, even having race-related connotations. Will it play a factor in the fight? It certainly looks so.
