The world of combat sports never fails to surprise. When fans think they have seen it all, something new pops up. Just like Jake Paul and Alex Pereira, an unlikely pairing that created quite the buzz this Saturday. ‘The Problem Child,’ who was dominant throughout the match, recorded a monumental KO victory over Mike Perry.
Now, Paul is already eyeing his next opponent. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has his sights set on UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Never one to shy away from bold statements, he called out Pereira in his post-fight interview.
‘The Problem Child’ received an unexpected FaceTime call. And guess who was on the other end? None other than Alex Pereira himself! Pereira accepted Paul’s challenge in a jiffy. ‘The Problem Child’ asked the Brazilian striker whether Dana White would let him compete outside the UFC. ‘Poatan’ and his team revealed they would have to talk it out with the UFC boss. Soon after, the UFC light heavyweight champion shared the video on his Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Let’s go !! Chama.”
Alex Pereira is no stranger to taking on all comers. He recently stepped up on short notice to save UFC 303. The man fears no challenge; it seems. Earlier, Pereira stated that he would love to box someone after Anthony Joshua’s encouragement. Paul, simply leveraging that statement, is urging the UFC champion to throw down with him in the Boxing ring.
Jake Paul Has A Message For Mike Tyson After Knockout Win
Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, wowed the world with his 6th round KO of Mike Perry. But he remains focused on one target. And it’s not just any target. It’s the legendary Mike Tyson himself.
The ‘Problem Child‘ had some choice words for ‘Iron Mike’ in his post-fight interview. He gave respect to the legend Tyson but declared that he now owns the sport of boxing. “Mike, I love you but this is my sport now. You’re a legend, you’re one of the two most famous boxers to ever live — you and Muhammad Ali. It’s an honor to get in the ring with you, I’m so, so honored. You’re a legend but I’m gonna take your throne, brother.” stated Paul.

Tyson, of course, is no pushover. Even at 58, he is still ‘Iron’ Mike. Paul, however, seems undeterred by this fact. He recently claimed Tyson is “looking crazier than ever” in training. The young boxer’s bravado is undoubtedly entertaining. Fans will look forward to seeing him in the ring again, whether it be against Tyson or the current UFC light heavyweight champion.
