The Lightweight division has been the best division for years now. It has got a lot of possible title contenders from different parts of the world. The division has dominated by the Dagestanis since quite a few years now but it has got a ton of former champions and UFC veterans in its ranks. Recently Conor McGregor who became the lightweight king when he beat Eddie Alvarez was seen exchanging jabs with fellow lightweight contender Tony Ferguson.
Conor has not fought in the UFC for three years now whereas Tony who was once a top contender to fight for the title is on a massive downfall.
Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson exchange jabs
Former two-division champion of the UFC Conor McGregor is slated to return later this year in a potential fight against Michael Chandler. Whereas Tony Ferguson has been pretty active but has lost seven consecutive fights in the company after being on a twelve fight win streak.
I’m gonna end you and badly. I’ve not forgot.
He clearly claimed that he never forgot his rivalry with El Cucuy. McGregor made it clear that he still wants to fight and finish Tony in the octagon. To which Tony replied,
Ahh there’s my b****… took a few to get your attention ehh??! Remember when you used to work for me & I fired your a** for not doing your job. When your done signing your legal issues, sign on the dotted line coward-champ.

Tony responded that he is more than ready to take on Conor in a potential bout against the man in the future. Ferguson last fought the Englishman Paddy Pimblett and lost via unanimous decision. Many MMA fans believe that Ferguson can no longer compete for the lightweight strap given the fact he is almost 40 years of age and his massive losing record.
It’ll be interesting to see how does the lightweight bouts between all the top contenders go in the future as the champion clearly stated that he wants to take on Dustin Poirier next. Its highly unlikely that Tony fights for the title again and it will be interesting to see when does Ferguson calls it career in the world of MMA. Will Conor McGregor return against Tony or Chandler, remains to be seen.
