Former MMA Fighter Chael Sonnen has questioned whether Conor McGregor ever wanted to fight Michael Chandler or if he was having fun. In his recent YouTube video, Sonnen claimed that Conor has done everything not to get into a bout.
There are levels in the UFC before a fighter gets to fight his bout inside the UFC octagon, and for Conor, it was the USADA testing pool. Without it, it would have been impossible for him to return to the UFC.
Chael Sonnen explains the process simply by saying that the testing is conducted by an app in the fighter’s home without consuming much time. It is a quick process. He states;
“You could not get to second base until you get past first and in that case first was to enter what was known as an USADA testing pool which is done on an app on ones phone quickly by dumb dumbs.768 dumb dumb fighters take the test every single day.”
Conor McGregor May Not Have Been Serious About His Fight With Chandler
McGregor had taken a break from fighting in the UFC octagon after breaking his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. In the fight, Poirier was declared the winner by TKO as the doctor had to intervene at 5:00 in the first round.
It has been a while since Conor’s Injury, and the fighter is well off to be training and fighting in the octagon once again. This is why rumors have been circulating since last year that the fighter would face off against his TUF opponent’s coach, Michael Chandler. However, for some unknown reason, Conor McGregor kept delaying getting his USADA testing done. However, Michael Chandler had been looking forward to one of the most anticipated bouts of his career.
