The fight fans are in for a treat this weekend. Some of the biggest names in the MMA community are going against each other in the UFC Vegas 89. Crowd favorite Rose Namajunas is set to take on Amanda Ribas in an exciting flyweight clash of the UFC.
There is one more matchup in the undercard which is set to be a banger. That is UFC veteran Justin Tafa taking on Karl Williams.
Forecasting the outcome of the Williams vs Justin Tafa fight
Justin Tafa had a tough start to life at the UFC winning only one of his first four bouts. But he bounced back with vengeance as he remains undefeated in his last four fights. He’s coming fresh off an impressive knockout win over Austen Lane in the first round. But Justin’s next bout with Karl Williams can be a bit tricky one.
Karl Williams has emerged victorious in all three of his fights in the UFC. He has demonstrated himself to be a complete mixed martial artist. Many believe he might be one of the best all round fighters in the heavyweight division. With decent kickboxing skills and impressive grappling ability he seems to be the favorite in his next matchup against Justin Tafa.
Although Justin Tafa is in possession of some exceptional power but Karl’s wrestling might make life hell for Justin. Tafa in the past has shown no grappling ability but is averaging an impressive 5.13 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 55 percent.
Whereas Williams has cemented his case for being an elite grappler as he’s averaging 4.00 takedowns and 2.93 significant strikes per every 15 minutes.

Fighting history has been kind to wrestlers and grapplers. While striking is flashy and gives you a highlight reel it is wrestling that makes you dominate a fight. As it stands Karl Williams stands as the betting favorite in the upcoming weekend. But MMA has surprised us in the past and Justin Tafa always got a puncher’s chance.
The upcoming bout serves as a perfect co-main event to the clash between Ribas and Namajunas.
