The internet is a wild space where anything and everything gets picked up and twisted without context, and that’s exactly what’s happening with Aljamain Sterling right now. A recently viral video on social media showed a man confronting a FedEx driver, which escalated into an altercation. The internet quickly identified the man as Aljamain Sterling, the former UFC champion. However, Sterling stepped forward to clarify that the video did not show him.
Upfront MMA shares a video on X claiming UFC star Aljamain Sterling faces a “cracked-out” FedEx delivery driver, allegedly angry about the quality of Funk Harbor Rum, Sterling’s alcohol brand. Fans quickly fueled the post’s traction, believing Sterling was involved. However, Sterling, surprised by the misunderstanding, stepped in to clarify that he was not the person in the video.
He addressed the confusion and cleared up the situation, reassuring fans that it wasn’t him. “Lmaoooo if anyone really thinks that me….wow, just wow,” Sterling wrote.
This isn’t the first time a mix-up like this has occurred. In the past, a viral video mistakenly identified Jamahal Hill as the man who punched someone at a bar while protecting his mother. The incident reportedly showed Hill knocking out the guy, but he later clarified that he was not involved, highlighting how easily confusion can spread in the world of viral videos.
Who Should Aljamain Sterling Fight Next?
After the UFC 310 loss, Sterling is unsure about his future in the UFC. He’s weighing whether to continue fighting, knowing there are tough opponents ahead, or to help other fighters train for their matches. He doesn’t want to retire yet. But he wants to see what the UFC offers before deciding his next move and figuring out where he stands.
“Do I continue, or do I just help out the guys and help them get ready for their fights? And whatnot and maybe just take fun fights. I don’t know; I don’t want to retire, but I’ve got to see what the UFC offers and then kind of make a decision to go from there to see where my position is,” he stated.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Sterling. Despite being champion until last year, he was placed on the prelims. This suggests that the UFC doesn’t currently see him as a major asset. However, there’s no doubt that one win could get him back on track and potentially back into title contention.
