Jon Jones is once again back in the news and it’s not for something good that he did.
It was reported on Thursday that the UFC Champion was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and negligent use of a firearm. The arrest reportedly happened outside of Jones’ home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Hours later, the UFC sent out a statement regarding the incident:
Police initially responded to a call of shots fired, which led them to finding Jones inside his vehicle with a half-empty bottle of Recuerdo and a handgun. He would soon fail miserably on a breathalyzer and sobriety test, but would deny any knowledge of gunshots.
He was released later Thursday and is expected in court for a bond arraignment hearing on April 9.
This is his second DWI and was just arrested last year on battery charges.
