Conor McGregor is much more than just a regular UFC fighter. His aura, both inside and outside the ring, has captured the attention of innumerable fans and critics. McGregor has been phenomenal in establishing himself as a brand. And this is something that is not very common with most of the UFC fighters. In a recent conversation, a UFC insider delved deep into some of the interesting achievements of ‘Mystic Mac.’
In a recent video uploaded on Chael Sonnen’s channel on YouTube, the ‘Bad Guy’ heaped praises on McGregor. Sonnen looked impressed by how McGregor was not only an established fighter but also a successful businessman. From Proper 12 Irish Whiskey to Forged Irish Stout, McGregor has been churning out the big dollar bills often.
“That might sound very basic to you, but it’s a very rare thing… We’ve had a number of people that have been very successful athletes and when they tried to cross into entertainment, it wasn’t a matter if they weren’t very good, they could not get their start. Their fans did not follow them,” Sonnen said.
Surely, Sonnen has a point here. McGregor was able to retain a lot of his aura as a businessman, too. Unfortunately, things seem to be going a little haywire for the Irishman at the moment. With almost three years without in-octagon action, Conor McGregor’s fighting future looks in serious jeopardy. Echoing a similar sentiment, Joe Rogan had a sad prediction.
Joe Rogan Has Some Somber Conor McGregor Predictions
Conor McGregor has been struggling with his UFC return for a long time. After failing to show up at the TUF 31 finale, ‘The Notorious’ got another chance. With his return confirmed on UFC 303, McGregor pulled out due to a toe injury. This was one of the biggest upsets in MMA history, as the hype regarding the fight was sky-high.

Thus, looking at the development, Joe Rogan has a very somber update to deliver. According to his understanding, McGregor’s fighting days might well be over. “I don’t know if Conor’s ever gonna fight again… The reality is that guy’s partying, and he’s partying real hard,” said Rogan. Thus, with McGregor’s in-ring comeback looking cloudy, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
