Julian Marquez shot nothing but net with Miley Cyrus.
The UFC middleweight said a few days ago that he had plans to put Cyrus’ initials into his chest hair following a request from the musician.
“Okay, I do plan to do it and I can’t just open up just yet,” Marquez told TMZ Sports in an interview released Tuesday. “I have to wait for one more thing but we have something big working for everyone. The fans will definitely be in charge of me getting the ‘M.C.’ on my chest hair.”
He would also reveal to BJ Penn that he and Cyrus have been actually exchanging direct messages with each other:
“Yeah dude, she shot me a DM. We spoke and she’s cool, man. Like legitimately, this is all like, there’s nothing crazy. Everyone’s like, ‘You missed your shot.’ Actually no, I didn’t miss my shot. I have the same exact shot as I did prior. The only difference is that she knows who I am, she follows me. Like, Miley’s a friend now. Who would have thought I would have a friend (like her). Yes, I love her. She’s amazing. Like she’s one of the greatest singers in my point of view. But like I’m not trying to date Miley. Miley’s got a bunch of stuff going on. That’s a dope friend and I’m going to keep that dope friend,” Marquez said.”
The entire situation played out starting after Marquez defeated Maki Pitolo by submission at UFC 258 last weekend. In his post-fight interview, he would ask Cyrus to be his valentine and she responded with the unique request on Twitter:
