In the last two years, Michael Chandler has been a constant presence in the news due to his delayed upcoming UFC fight. Initially eyeing Conor McGregor, Chandler grew frustrated with the wait and, after not securing the fight for a long time, finally moved on to face Charles Oliveira. Now, ahead of this big fight, Chandler has revealed that he’s eyeing big names to fight before 2025, including Conor McGregor, Max Holloway, and Islam Makhachev.
In a conversation with Shak MMA, Chandler discussed his future and mentioned the possibility of four massive matchups: Chandler vs. Oliveira, Chandler vs. McGregor, Chandler vs. Makhachev, and Chandler vs. Holloway. He called it the “craziest four-fight run in a 12-month period that anyone has ever seen.”
For now, there’s been no official confirmation from the UFC; Chandler believes that if he lands these fights, he’ll earn a huge paycheck and be at the top of the sport. While Chandler believes this plan could work, fans on X (formerly Twitter) aren’t buying it and have been mocking him.
One fan is certain that Conor McGregor will never step into the Octagon again.
Meanwhile, one fan believes that if Chandler gets all the fights he’s targeting, he’ll end up losing every single one.

Another fan argues that Chandler won’t fight in 2025 unless it’s against Conor McGregor and there’s a big paycheck on the table.
Michael Chandler Has His Post-Retirement Plan Ready
Although Chandler has a lot to offer fans, he has already made plans for retirement. Unlike Daniel Cormier or Michael Bisping, he isn’t interested in commentary and thinks podcasting would be a better fit for him. In a podcast with Bo Nickal, Chandler acknowledged that at 38, he doesn’t have many years left in the UFC. He mentioned that while he tried commentary and didn’t enjoy it, he’s more interested in podcasting and connecting with audiences.
He stated, “I didn’t enjoy it (commentary) as much as I thought I was going to….It’s not something I love as much as I thought I would. I’d rather be on this kind of microphone speaking to the masses.”
While Chandler may not have much time left in the UFC, he is now focusing on talking about Charles Oliveira, who is set to provide him with the platform to secure a title shot after defeating the former champion at UFC 309.
