Dustin Poirier has given a harsh reality check to Conor McGregor’s next opponent.
Michael Chandler is set to take on Conor McGregor in the summer. The fight between the two had been building up for quite some time before it was revealed that they would finally square off this year.
Ahead of his fight against McGregor, Chandler decided to take a shot at his former opponent on X by taking a dig at Poirier’s hot sauce business. He said: “The old ‘I’d rather sell hot sauce’ vibe…”
Responding to it, Dustin Poirier reminded Michael Chandler of what happened when they locked horns inside the octagon. He said: “Remember when I whipped your a**”
For those unaware, Chandler and Poirier fought each other back in 2022. The fight was filled with action from start to finish and was eventually won by Poirier via submission in the third round.

Who is Dustin Poirier fighting next?
Dustin Poirier was recently seen in action against Benoit-Saint Denis earlier this year. Coming off a knockout loss at the hands of Justin Gaethje, Poirier walked into the fight as an underdog.
However, he got the job done in an emphatic fashion and secured a knockout victory. Following his victory, a lot has been said about his next fight. Interestingly, it looks like he might be fighting for the title next.
It might be surprising to a lot of people as Dustin Poirier might not be a worthy contender as of now. However, the UFC lightweight championship Islam Makhachev wants to return to action in June and all the top contenders are not available for that timeline.
As a result, it looks like Poirier’s next fight will be for the title against Islam Makhachev.
